What you will be able to play

• Alternate whole-step and half-step bends in tune, including the bend to the blue note in G.
• Play a blues rake over an E7 bar-chord shape and hammer on the 3rd for a IV-chord lick.
• Outline E7, A7 and B7 with a trill lick that moves to each chord of a blues in E.
• Switch between major pentatonic over the I chord and minor pentatonic over the IV chord.
• Play descending double stops and jazz octaves with clean muting and hybrid picking.
• Phrase a lick in groups of three over a 4/4 groove and move it up the neck.
• Run the A minor pentatonic in triplets and in groups of four and three with a metronome.
• Combine licks in several keys into your own solo over a 12-bar jam track.

The material is intermediate; a few licks, such as the minor-third bend and the hybrid-picked double stops, will stretch you. Not for beginners still learning the pentatonic shape, and not a theory course: keys and scales are named, but harmony is barely explained.
